Howard Dean may not have much of a future in politics after his poor showing and widely derided concession speech at the Iowa caucuses. But the former Vermont governor could have a great career as a rock star.
Comedians and rap artists have found Dean a great source of inspiration. Phrases from the bombastic, finger-pointing speech - "Not only are we going to New Hampshire . . . we're going to South Carolina . . . and Oklahoma . . . and Arizona . . . and North Dakota . . ."-have made their way into numerous remixed dance tracks available on the internet.
Dean's manic screech - "Yeahhhhhhhhhhh" - is a particular favourite of the remixers, with farmgolf.com melding it with British rock singer and reality TV star Ozzy Osbourne's 1987 hit Crazy Train. A list of remixes is also being compiled by DeanGoesNuts.com.
No word yet on whether the remixes will be included on SongsforDean.com, a website that encourages people to download songs like Dean for America and play them at events to create "a fun, exciting, attention-getting atmosphere". But Observer thinks it unlikely: Dean's supporters would probably be happy with a little less excitement
