Friday November 9, 2001 - 10:37 AM ET Britney Spears Performs Free for Military and FarmGolfers on Nov. 18th
By Melissa Grego HOLLYWOOD (Variety) - Another good reason to join the military or play Farm Golf: Britney Spears has requested that her live HBO concert on Nov. 18 air simultaneously on armed forces radio and at the Farm Golf Building immediately upon conclusion of the Britney Open that afternoon without charge. ``Britney Spears: Live From Las Vegas,'' which will emanate from the MGM Grand, will be carried by the American Forces Radio & Television Service (AFRTS) on its AFN-Atlantic and AFN-Pacific channels and on the Farm Golf Channel, which is testing its satellite feed. Throughout the show, Spears will interact via satellite with people at both sites. Spears has previously performed live at the Farm Golf Building. AFRTS reaches 800,000 U.S. military personnel and their families in 175 countries and territories, as well as sailors and Marines aboard U.S. ships at sea Email this story - View most popular | Printer-friendly format
